ABOUT THE AREA
We are right by the beach at Freshwater East in the Pembrokeshire National Park
From the coastal path you can walk to the famous Barafundle Bay at Stackpole and a little further to the Lily Ponds and Broadhaven Sands at Bosherston. In the other direction you can walk to the beaches Manorbier and Shinklehaven. The National Trust coastal path stretches from Amroth through to Poppit Sands at St Dogmaels. The views over the coastline from the coastal path are stunning.
10 mins drive away are the beaches of Manorbier (with its castle), Barafundle Bay, Broadhaven Sands, Bosherston Lily ponds and Freshwater West (famous for its surfing). 20 mins drive and you can visit Oakwood, Folly Farm, Tenby etc. Pembroke with its famous castle and Carew Castle are about 15 mins by car. If you wish to travel further afield, within an hour's drive you can reach the coastline of Cardigan bay with the famous Poppit Sands, Cenarth falls etc. In the other direction, Carmarthen and the beaches at Llansteffan (with castle) and Pembrey Country Park with its many activities and things to do. Travel inwards and you can visit the Preselli Hills, Narberth and the pembrokeshire waterways which start at Pembroke. Why not take a boat trip to see Skokholm and Skomer Island from Dale. Visit St David's with it famous Cathedral and Whiteshead Bay. Visit Ramsey Island. There is so much to see and do.
